Survey results released by the Chey Institute for Advanced Studies show that 76.6% of South Koreans think the ROK needs its own independently-controlled nuclear deterrent. This comes on the heels of a survey published by the Hankook Ilbo that found 66.8% of Koreans supported nuclear armament.
