Responsible Statecraft, a publication of the Quincy Institute, a realest/non-interventionist think tank, published an article by Syrus Jin calling for the United States to try to get to the table with North Korea and negotiate for peace between the DRPK and ROK.

Jin argued,

If we wish to truly vindicate the sacrifice of those who fought and died, the United States must boldly seek peace in the Korean peninsula and fundamentally reimagine how it sees diplomacy in the path forward with North Korea.

As is typical with this kind of article, however, the author did not clearly define what he means by “peace.”
